August-26, 2003 status report. 5.18pm, geneva time Beam ======== o stable beam to H2 o next machine development is 24hrs long and it ends at 2 pm on 27th of August ECAL Calibration ======= o we have calibration constants for ECAL. o we monitor ECAL gains by taking 100gev e- runs, 14x14 trigger, defocused beam, into 5 positions on face of ECAL. o for each ECAL+HCAL pion data set, we require two ECAL calibration runs to be recorded, (before and after pion run). o at the beginning of each shift calibration run must be taken, check it using getmeanSignal.C (in GUI graphic ECAL menu it's third button) HE L0 study =========== o we have installed 0.4 filters on the single fiber L0 readout. in effect, we have 0.2 light reduction (factor of 5). o data taken with 0.2 light reduction for tower_eta=19 and tower_eta=23. o data taken with alpha 0.0 , 0.3 , 0.5 DataSets ============ o muons and electrons into bare (no-ECAL) HB o muons and electrons into bare (no-ECAL) HE o ECAL+HB+HO, eta/phi= 8/4 o ECAL+HE, with independent L0 readout, eta/phi=19,4 o ECAL+HE, with single fiber L0 readout, eta/phi=19,4 o ECAL+HE, with single fiber L0 readout and 0.4 filter, eta/phi=19,4 o ECAL+HE, with single fiber L0 readout and 0.4 filter, eta/phi=23,4/5 o ECAL+B+HO, eta/phi= 3/6 o muons and electrons to bare HE, eta/phi= 19/4 o crack scan is almost done o as far as we know everythnig is fine with phase measurement RunPlan for (more than) 24hrs ========================= o HO source scan (3 hours) o DAQ development o HE source scan, if possible HE Laser also o HF phase data, energy scan using 300,200,100, 50 GeV pions and 225 GeV muons o HB / HE muon scan , 15 eta times 5 phi slices, 10k events, 4x4 triggering (to scan for eta=15 set the table to eta 14.5) o HB / HE muon scan, fine scan in eta 16,17,28,29 and center in eta 18 - 27 (4 phi slices for all towers) o HE transverse scan o HO 10kv test
